I have grown up with strong women in my life, starting with my mom, two outstanding grandmothers, a great grandmother, and several wonderful aunties (I’m from an Italian family!).

I was raised with the importance of family, and I saw this continually modeled as the younger women in the family raised their children and assisted their moms and grandmothers with life’s tasks.  I have fond memories of spending quality time with my nanna (great grandmother who lived next door), my grandma Rosalie, and grandma Modesti (affectionately known as grandma Mo).  Watching these wonderful women navigate life’s transitions was truly amazing and something that I will always treasure.  Is it no wonder why I have a special place in my heart for helping and supporting women?

What has a life full of truly amazing women taught me?  First, women have different needs than our male counterparts – we plan differently, we live longer (thanks Estrogen!), we are more in tune to our health needs and tend to overestimate risk, which could be detrimental to our well-being and longevity. Women also typically earn less due to stepping out of the workforce to care for their children or perhaps a family member. Together, these factors have a significant impact on our finances and overall wellbeing in our later years.

Through my professional career, I have had the privilege of sharing in the journeys of women who were experiencing some of the toughest transitions that I could ever imagine.  As we worked together to obtain financial wellness and planning their future, I was blessed to share in their times of pain, grief, disbelief, anger, growth and transformation.  There are no words to describe how each one of these women has touched my life.

Together with the above experiences, I can offer my own transitional experiences of:  Marriage, Motherhood, Empty Nester (partially for a time), Homeowner, Entrepreneurship, Death of loved ones and many more.
